Show Us Your Life - China Pattern

Kelly's Korner hosts a weekly Show Us Your Life series and this week's topic is China Patterns.

Jake and I aren't the fine china type.  We created built in shelving in our dining room for hand painted sunflower dishware that we found along the way.  Now when we browse house listings or we crash an open house, I ask "where will my sunflower dishes go?"  These are too pretty to stack in a cupboard.

Jake randomly noticed these in a store one day and knew I'd love them.  Sunflowers on every dish would've been too much so we decided to mix in some solid yellow ones from the same collection.  I love that these dishes are casual, pretty, and aren't too precious to use any time.  We keep some basic creamware in a kitchen cupboard for daily use.
FYI, for anyone that is paint color obsessed like me, this is Georgian Green from Benjamin Moore's Historic Color collection.  Our living room is the same color and it has been surprisingly versatile.

Here's a closeup of a couple shelves.

Thanks for stopping by!
